Ridgefield Park Fall Recycling Updates
As we progress into Fall and clean up any unsold items from our garage sales, it is important to keep up to date with the recycling protocol in town. Below I’ve highlighted some points that will help you keep your home and yard organized and maintained.
Leaves-It wouldn’t be Fall without leaves. Leaf season is from October 15th to December 31st. Leaves are considered yard waste and can either be placed in cans or paper bags (plastic bags not permitted) to be picked up curbside on your usual yard waste pick up day. Leaves can also be raked into the street, along the curb line to be swept by the street sweeper.
White goods-This time of year we get back to our schedules and very often find out an appliance we didn’t use much over the Summer months no longer works and needs to be replaced. White goods such as dryers, dishwashers, computers, dishwashers, refrigerators, hot water heaters, etc. can be picked up on Wednesday mornings at the curb by scheduling pickup one day in advance.
Reuse-For items that are still in good condition the town recycling center located at 24 Industrial Ave is open from 9am to 12pm Monday through Saturday of said items. Items must be in working condition in order to be reused by other town residents and accepted items are at the discretion of the Recycling Attendee and may depend on storage space available.
